    Refund & Cancellation Policy

    Last Updated: May 2026

    1. General Overview

Drop-in provides a technology platform that facilitates ticket sales between event organizers ("Organizers") and ticket buyers ("Users"). By purchasing a ticket through our Services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy and any additional terms specified by the Organizer on the event page.

    2. Event Cancellations

If an event is cancelled by the Organizer and not rescheduled, Users are entitled to a refund of the ticket price.

    • Automatic Processing: Drop-in will initiate the refund process automatically upon official confirmation of cancellation.
    • Timeline: Funds will be credited to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to bank processing times.

    3. User-Initiated Cancellations

Refund requests initiated by the User are subject to the specific policy set by the Organizer.

    • Organizer Policy: Please review the "Refund Policy" section on the specific event page before purchase (e.g., "No refunds 48 hours prior to event").
    • Service Fees: In accordance with Section 120 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA), a reasonable administrative fee (our 5.5% + ₦100 service fee) is non-refundable to cover transaction processing costs.

    4. Event Postponements & Changes

If an event is rescheduled or the venue changes significantly:

    • Tickets remain valid for the new date/location automatically.
    • Users unable to attend the rescheduled event must submit a refund request via their Drop-in Dashboard within 72 hours of the change announcement.

    5. Exclusions from Refund Policy

Drop-in cannot issue refunds in the following circumstances:

    • User Absence: No refunds are provided for "no-shows" or missed events.
    • Subjective Experience: Drop-in is not responsible for event content, performance quality, or onsite amenities.
    • Third-Party Transactions: We only honor refunds for tickets purchased directly through the Drop-in platform. Tickets purchased from secondary sellers are not covered.

    6. How to Request a Refund

    To initiate a request:

    1. Log into your Drop-in Account.
    2. Navigate to My Tickets.
    3. Select the relevant event and click "Request Refund."
